Sajjad Ali is a Pakistani semi-classical, pop singer, film actor, director and producer. He and emerged to fame in the early 1980s. However, he was already known to some people[who?] as a semi-classical singer due to his work in the classical industry and his family popularity. He is one of very few Pakistani pop singers with full training in classical singing.
Sajjad released his first classical hit album Master Sajjad sings Memorable Classics in 1979 the musicians were Great Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Sab, Mehdi Hassan Khan Sahab and Ghulam Ali and Amanat Ali Khan Sab, most of the songs were written by Hasrat Mohani, Momin and many more.
Sajjad made his debut on the 25th anniversary of PTV's stage show, called Silver Jubilee, on November 26, 1983. During the show, Sajjad sung the song Lagi ray lagay lagan yehe dil mein and Bawari Chakuri. The song was a huge hit in Pakistan and allowed Sajjad to take the first few steps in the music industry. Sajjad great talent went on with major hits such as Babia 93, Chief Saab, Sohni Lag Di, and many more.Sajjad and his brother, Waqar Ali, wrote lyrics for Sajjad's album. Also, lyricists, Sabir Zafar, Mohammad Nasir, Nadeem Asad, and Ali Moin also wrote songs for Sajjad. In the film industry, Sajjad also directed his first movie Love letter in 1989 and then his first full length motion picture Aik Aur love story in 1998.
A.R. Rahman sings his praises and that is no mean feat. He says Sajjad is the original crossover. From the realm of the classical, he metamorphosed into one of the brightest lights of Pakistani pop. Always striking the right note, and never missing a beat, even the most hardened purist has to give Sajjad his due. This man can breathe life in a ghazal even as he puts the V back into verve. He is one of the very few singers in Pakistan who seems a complete singer. As far as skill is concerned I feel nobody compares to Sajjad Ali. He is simply too good at everything he chooses to create.
His brother Waqar Ali is also in the music industry. Sajjad Ali sang the song "Teri Yaad, Na Boloon Gi and Sunn Leyna" for drama serials. His brother, Waqar also helped during the making of the songs as is credited too.
During July 2006, Sajjad released a single called Chal Rein De, a more classical song than the pop which is more known for.
In the September 3, 2006, Sajjad Ali released another little known single in a totally different genre with the help of Meloscience Corp. The song is known as Sajjad-Ali Sinsym Flight, and it is an experimental, jazzy, Sufi beat.
In late April 2008, Sajjad Ali his released latest album, Chahar Balish, which contained new tracks as well as previous tracks such as Chal Rein De.

Though their hit debut single "Dil Dil Pakistan" skyrocketed them into fame, the song's success was not seen by him as something that would turn him into a professional musician. Junaid who wanted to become a professional engineer, initially didn't want to have anything to do with music other than just treating it as a hobby. However, Rohail and Shahzad soon managed to convince him otherwise.. In 2003, BBC World Service conducted an international poll to choose ten most famous songs of all time. Around 7000 songs were selected from all over the world. According to BBC, people from 155 countries/islands voted Dil Dil Pakistan was third in top 10 songs.

But over the years, many unofficial remixes of the song have released and majority of them have not done justice to the song. Usually chorus-singing together in appearances on Pakistan Television in the late 1970s and early 1980s, they achieved immense popularity in both Pakistan and neighboring regions of North India in what began to be referred to as the Benjamin Sisters Phenomenon.
The sisters usually sang Punjabi and Urdu songs, and tended to provide new renderings of songs sung by other artists as opposed to developing their own material. This was partially because the sisters initially appeared in the TV talk show Silver Jubilee, where old artistes were often the invited guests whose songs the sisters would perform as a mark of honor. The three sang in a synchronized way, in a "single voice." The famous of which they sang the patriotic National song of Pakistan known as the Is parcham kay saye tale hum ek hai.

Annie started her singing career at the age of fifteen. In 2000, during a summer vacation in Pakistan, she performed for the first time in a live concert for Abrarul Haq's charity in Sargodha.

is father initially got him a drum kit that was deemed too loud. A saxophone took its place, but the trumpeting was too much for the family to handle. Finally a compromise was struck on the guitar and that suited everyone just fine, especially Aamir who immediately started working out melodies on one string. Soon he had learnt the ropes by instinct, playing the music others made before him.
Playing alone soon got boring for young Zaki, so he started jammin' with a friend who played the drums. The drummer is now a cab driver in New York; hardly glorious, but he probably earns more than what he would have as a musician in Pakistan. However, the short time that they played together was enough for Zaki to start a band called Drug Enforcement. In 1984, they played their first show at Rangoonwala Hall where they scandalized the audience by doing covers of The Who, Cream and Jimi Hendrix. The line up consisted of Salman Habib on drums, who eventually gave up drumming for Habib Oil Mills, and Abbas Premjee, who went on to the States to study, amongst other things, classical guitar. Apparently, Premjee still plays a mean flamenco, but can he match his counterpart who followed his heart?
Zaki found enough inspiration to start composing his first, (and to date, only), solo album - "Signature". It featured one Urdu song, two English songs and the rest were instrumentals. He put his own money into releasing this high-risk venture. He produced the CDs in England and got Sonic to release them locally. This behind him, he got cracking.
Amir Zaki is currently conducting Guitar Training Sessions at "Beatles Music Academy", Tariq Road, Opposite Jheel Park, Karachi.

Aamir Saleem released his 6th Album which is still his last under tilte of "Dil Da Quater". This album mainly features Punjabi songs.
Aamir Saleem started singing when he was in school and he bought his first guittar after working in a hotel as a receptionist in summer holidays. He formed his first music band with the name "Image",his best friend naveed mugees was on guittar and alim arshid was on kee bord .After that he moved to Karachi in 1987. He used to sing with different bands to make money and record his first solo album that took three years to complete.
His first solo album, "Musafir" was a hit in 1991 among all age groups. His song "Woh Taron Bhari" was hit and his album sold well. It was released by Shalimar recording Company but unfortunately Aamir Saleem could not get financial benefits from his best selling album.

It also put Ali into the league of the most popular artists ever to have come out of Pakistan with a massive fan following locally and internationally. It was described by The Hindu as "take a Kishore Kumar-like voice, club it with yuppie Ibiza-ish electronic beats, and add a bit of nostalgic lyrics".
His comparison to Kishore Kumar was frequently made initially but with time he proved to be perhaps the most versatile singers in the modern generation with a distinct vocal tone and qualities , specially during his folk and sufi renditions in the "coke studio sessions" where he surprises his audiences with live renditions of difficult notes with much ease and ranging his singing from pop to folk to semi classical. His new songs namely" Allah hu" "Yaar dhadhee ishq( a cover), nahin ray nahin and 'Daastan-e-ishq" won hearts of millions all over the worlds once again and earned him a new era of fan following with his songs having one of the highest numbers of downloads amongst many senior musicians.
Ali won award for "Best Album" category at the Lux Style Awards in 2004 for his massive hit album Huqa Pani In addition to the album's popularity being reflected in the shops and by critics, it has been widely claimed that Himesh Reshammiya plagiarised one of the most well-known tracks from the album, Rangeen, for the song Dillagi Mein Jo . Soon Pritam too copied his track "Chhano" as "Choreen ki Baatein"(Fightclub).
Ali Zafar launched his second album "Masty" nationwide in Pakistan in November 2006. He has since released four tracks from the album called "Masty", "Sajania", "Dekha" and "Aasman". A press conference for the release of the album was held in Lahore. The album has been released by Fire Records.

Ali has a multitalented personality besides a singer, painter, model and an actor, he proved himself as a good music director and producer by directing and producing his music video "Ek Pal" from his first album Huqa Pani which was a big hit nationwide.
Zafar recently won the "Youth Icon" award from the Lux Style Awards 2007, in Malaysia.

Abrar-ul-Haq is a Pakistani pop, bhangra and folk Legend singer. On his first album "Billo De Ghar" his name appears as simply "Abrar". His best-known work is the song "Billo De Ghar". Before becoming a singer, he was a Geography teacher at the Aitchison College in Lahore.
Billo De Ghar
His debut single, Billo De Ghar, erupted great controversy and gathered much debate. Billo is a fairly common female nickname among predominantly Muslim Punjabis of Pakistan. First line of the song, Assan Tay Jaana Billo De Ghar, Kinnay Kinnay Jaana Billo De Ghar (Punjabi: We will go to Billo's home, who else will go to Billo's home), was used as tease by street bullies for Billo named young-adult females. This caused a fierce reaction from the families of female victims, often resulting in physical fights. In order to avoid any more of such situations in his another single, Preeto, Abrar used a non-Muslim female nickname Preeto. This name is almost extinct in Pakistan.
Nach Punjaban Nach
Nach Punjaban Nach (Nach: Dance; Punjaban: Punjabi female.), second line of Abrar's single Punjabi Touch also caused a public outrage as it was taken as an address to all Punjabi women of Pakistan (99% of Pakistani Punjabis are Muslims). Abrar was sued in Lahore High Court. He personally went to the court and told the judge that he would change the word Punjaban to Majajan. He re-recorded the song and new batch of copies of his album, Assan Jana Mall-o Mall, has the modified version of the song. However, copies of the album with older version are still available and were never pulled from the market. During a TV interview, he was asked about the meaning of Majajan. He said, "Majajan is not a word. Real word is Majajni. I changed it to Majajan."
Parmeen
Abrar has created some controversy with his newest album's song "Parmeen." He has been criticized for the usage of Parveen, a common female name in Pakistan, in an odd way. The renowned columnist Javaid Chaudhury wrote a column in protest of Abrar's song when Javaid received a letter from a girl name Parveen on the effects of the song on her life. The girl claimed that she had stopped attending college in Lahore because of harassment from male students. The case was taken to Pakistan's Supreme Court, which ordered Abrar to change the lyrics. He stated that he would abide by the court's decision.

Even today, her songs from the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s are popular and continue to be remixed by music directors.

Shamshad also recorded "naats" and devotional music for a couple of gramophone recording companies.

Lahore-based composer Ghulam Haider used her voice skillfully in some of his earlier films like Khazanchi (1941) and Khandaan (1942). When he moved to Bombay in 1944, Shamshad went with him as a member of his team, leaving behind her family and staying with her Chacha (paternal uncle). She is credited with singing one of the first Westernised songs, Meri jaan...Sunday ke Sunday by C. Ramchandra. O.P. Nayyar describes her voice as that of a "temple bell" for its clarity of tone. Begum became a national rage between the 1940s and the late 1950s, having a voice different from her peers like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Geeta Dutt and Amirbai Karnataki.
